Are you already utilizing the waste heat generated in your production process to your advantage?

The energy we consume is becoming increasingly expensive, and its reuse ever more valuable. The waste heat generated in production is a resource whose smart utilisation means both savings and a greener mindset.

In addition to financial savings, the reuse of waste heat is a very green approach, and various support measures are available for it. To date, the Elister OÜ team has helped several companies find a suitable technical solution for utilising the waste heat generated in production, as well as implementing it.

Every situation requires its own analysis

There are numerous different sources and possibilities, and each situation should be analysed and assessed separately. Together with the client, we have been able to find the most sensible way to capture the heat energy suitable for reuse from the existing solutions and put it back to use.

Where to find waste heat?

There are more places to find heat and waste energy in production than one might think at first glance:

  • Ventilation – all air directed outdoors from production can, with the right ventilation equipment, be reused with the help of efficient air-to-air heat exchangers, thereby reducing the newly required heating capacity by up to 80%.
  • Compressors – compressors produce 80% heat, and the waste energy generated there can also be reused in several ways.
  • Drying and curing ovens – the ovens used during the painting process operate at quite high temperatures, which is why the amount of waste energy is large, and with a smart solution, several applications can be found for reusing the energy.

How much can be saved?

With the help of simple formulas, it is possible to get an overview in advance of how much energy can be saved and what savings can be achieved. This way, even before implementing the technical solution, it is clear what the actual value of waste heat reuse is for your production.
