Extraction solution for Tarmetec's grinding workshop
We upgraded the ventilation system of the grinding workshop machinery at Tarmetec in Tartu, a company specializing in stainless steel, where the issues were dust and, on some machines, emulsion. We prepared a ductwork installation project using a GRAM ACF type filter together with OUF oil separators. The system was automated with Smart plugs, and pressure control was added to ensure the correct loading of the filter.

Project challenge
The machines in the grinding shop had issues with the dust generated, and some machines additionally produced emulsion. The system needed inspection and refurbishment to ensure a clean and safe working environment. Having previously dealt with similar matters, the challenge was not unfamiliar to us.
How we built it
We prepared an installation project for the required ductwork and selected suitable equipment for removing both dust and emulsion. The heart of the solution is a GRAM ACF type filter, complemented by OUF oil separators for capturing the emulsion. To ensure the reliability of the system, we added automation and continuous pressure monitoring, which keeps the filter at the correct load.
- GRAM ACF type filter
- OUF oil separators
- Smart plugs for automatic starting and stopping of the system
- Pressure monitoring to ensure the correct load of the filter
What we achieved
- Dust and emulsion problem at the grinding shop's machines solved
- A cleaner and safer working environment in the shop
- An automated system that starts and stops on its own – without constant manual intervention
- Pressure monitoring ensures the filter operates at the correct load
