The Elcometer 125 blast profile comparators are the reference standard for assessing the profile of a cleaned metal surface prior to painting or protective coating treatment. The comparator enables both visual and tactile comparison of the blasted surface profile against four known profile values on the same plate.

Two versions

  • Grit — angular profiles produced by grit blasting
  • Shot — rounded profiles produced by steel shot

All profiles are recorded in microns and comply with the international standards ISO 8503-1 and ASTM D4417.
