Räpina Keskmäärde
As part of the Räpina furnace central lubrication system project, an automatic lubrication solution was established for 18 lubrication points in an environment where the operating temperature reaches approximately 100°C. A GRACO G3MAX central lubrication pump was used together with 18 GRACO injectors, whereby the main connection line was constructed using metal pipe and the connections to the lubrication points using copper pipe. As a result, the furnace no longer needs to be stopped for lubrication, which reduces production downtime, extends equipment service life and improves worker safety in a high-temperature environment.

Project challenge
For the Räpina furnace, reliable lubrication had to be ensured for 18 lubrication points in an environment where the operating temperature reaches approximately 100 °C. The previous manual lubrication required stopping the furnace and forced operators to work in the hot furnace environment. A solution was needed that would reduce maintenance-related downtime and improve workplace safety without disrupting production.
How we built it
We established an automatic centralised lubrication solution that delivers lubricant to each point precisely and adjustably. Due to the high operating temperature, we selected materials and a routing solution so that the system would withstand even demanding conditions.
- GRACO G3MAX centralised lubrication pump as the heart of the entire system
- 18 GRACO injectors, one for each lubrication point
- Main connection line built with metal pipe
- Connections to the lubrication points made with copper pipe
- Adjustable operating cycles according to equipment load and production needs
What we achieved
- The furnace no longer needs to be stopped for lubrication — reduced production downtime
- Improved workplace safety, as operators no longer work in the hot furnace environment
- Automatic and adjustable lubrication process for all 18 lubrication points
- Longer equipment service life and reduced maintenance needs
- A reliable solution at an operating temperature of nearly 100 °C
