Ventilation of the press room in the production facility
For the press room of Tarmeko LPD's new production building, we prepared the ventilation design and working drawings, supplied the equipment, and carried out the installation. Forming with the presses generates fumes, which is why we built a solution where odours are extracted from above each machine and compensated with fresh, clean air. The result is an improved working environment and more comfortable working conditions.

Project challenge
Forming with presses generates vapours that are uncomfortable for employees. The furniture manufacturer's goal was to create proper ventilation in the press room that would remove odours at the source and ensure a healthy working environment.
How we built the solution
We prepared the ventilation design and working drawings, supplied the equipment, and carried out the installation. The solution was designed so that odours are extracted from above each machine, directly at the source.
- Ventilation design and working drawings
- Equipment supply
- Installation
- Local extraction above each press
- Compensation with fresh and clean air
Result
Vapours and odours are removed from above each machine, and the extracted air is compensated with fresh and clean air. The result is a more comfortable and healthier working environment for the press room employees.

Factory Vacuum Compensation with Ventilation Unit
We installed a water-heated ventilation unit together with control automation and a water node at the factory of window manufacturer Viljandi Aken ja Uks to compensate for the air extracted by various equipment. The system ensures air exchange at a volume of 20 000 m³/h, filters the supply air with filtration grade M5, and heats the air to a level suitable for the indoor climate.
Production facility heating solution with Metmann air curtains
The heating system at Nordwood's production facility was upgraded with three Metmann water-heated industrial air curtains. The units circulate air within the space at up to 25,000 m³/h, ensuring uniform heat and reducing the inflow of cold air through continuously open doors. The solution improved working conditions and also reduced energy consumption.
Gas catalytic converter activated carbon filter installation
An activated carbon filter system with a gas catalyst sourced from Sweden, purifying 55,000 m³/h of air from solvent vapours. Elister OÜ carried out a 150 m rectangular duct air trunk line (1500 x 1000 mm), the installation of the filter system, and the automation cabling. The work was completed in accordance with the client's requirements and confirmed Elister OÜ's capability to take on the main contracting of larger projects.
