Filters for controlling volatile organic compounds

In cooperation with the Swedish company Mölnbacka Industri AB (established in 1989), we supply gas catalytic activated carbon filters to industrial enterprises, offering a solution for capturing volatile organic compounds and protecting the environment. The first filter unit of this kind was installed in 1990, and to date more than 60 units have already been delivered.

MIAB is a full-solution provider of these products: the company designs the equipment, creates the automation and fire safety systems, and carries out the installation together with the help of the local representative – the Elister OÜ team.

The MIAB air purification unit is fully automatic and requires minimal supervision and control. When production begins at the plant, the air purification unit starts automatically. When production ends, the purification unit switches itself off upon detecting the absence of solvent emissions.

All the necessary software and hardware is included with the delivery of the unit. The purification unit is controlled by a PLC, whose operation is monitored by the system's sensors. The PLC continuously checks the accuracy of the programmed parameters, which is crucial for maintaining the equipment's high purification efficiency. Using the operating system, the client's operators can remotely control the air purification unit. Once MIAB is configured, our specialists can monitor the equipment via the internet.

The station's operating parameters are recorded both for the clients' records and for reporting to regulatory authorities. The recorded parameters include, for example, the amount of oxidized VOC (volatile organic compounds), energy consumption, availability, purification efficiency, malfunctions, and all process-related information, such as temperature and pressure drop across the unit.
