Extraction and filtration solution for metalworking benches serving 8 workstations
We designed and installed an extraction and filtration solution for a metalworking shop where 8 machine tools generated haze and emulsion in the air. Each machine was fitted with an OUF centrifugal oil separator and a shared GRAM CLEAN AIR filter FL 104, which returns the cleaned air back into production. The system starts based on the machine tools' signal and ensures cleaner room air and healthier working conditions.

The project challenge
The client needed a solution for their metalworking machines to remove the fumes and emulsion generated during the work process. A total of 8 machines were in use in production, whose operation released both chemical and mechanical particles into the air. This created the need for a safe and efficient extraction system.
How we built the solution
Our team designed and installed a system that captures and removes the contamination generated during the work process. An oil separator was installed on each machine, which uses centrifugal force to prevent moist mechanical particles from spreading into the air, and a shared filter directs the cleaned air back into production.
GRAM CLEAN AIR filter FL 104 – filters contamination from the air and directs it back into production as clean air
Automation and remote management
The system is equipped with pressure monitoring and signal-based start and stop of the machine tools. This makes the solution energy-efficient and user-friendly.
Result
The installed solution ensures that all contamination particles generated during the operation of all 8 machines are efficiently removed. The room air is cleaner, working conditions are healthier, and the production process is more environmentally friendly.

Factory Welding and General Ventilation Upgrade
We upgraded the welding and general ventilation at the factory of Metagrupp, a manufacturer of welded aluminium products, and built a custom-designed separate system for the cooling units of the lasers. In the enclosed welding booths, we utilised the existing ductwork and added a GRAM filter unit, while the general ventilation was addressed with a CIC unit. The result is fresh air reaching the workers, normal air circulation and an energy-efficient solution that is ready for process automation and integration with other machines.
Cooling Tunnels – Automated Component Cooling for the Stator Production Line
At AS Konesko's new Türi-Alliku factory, we built two dedicated cooling tunnels that cool the stator components exiting the heating furnace to the desired temperature within a maximum of one hour. The tunnels' forced-cooling fans are connected to the control automation via frequency converters, which measure the component's surface temperature and continuously adjust the operating speed of the blowers using an algorithm. The solution accounts for varying component mass and fluctuating ambient temperature, ensuring a faster and more stable production process.
LEGUAN factory ventilation
Elister calculated and installed heat-recovery fresh air ventilation for the production hall, which the previous welding solution with filter towers did not include. The work covered design, measurements, as well as a turnkey solution.
