Heat recovery ventilation in the paint hall

We supplied Natural AS's timber painting hall with an efficient heat recovery ventilation system with a heat energy recovery efficiency of over 80%. The system operates automatically, independently switching between operating and non-operating modes. In addition, we added a drying mode function that allows the room to also be used for drying timber.

Project challenge

Natural AS had created a modern wood material painting hall for itself, in which they wanted to establish an economical and energy-efficient ventilation system. In addition to painting, the system also had to be capable of performing the function of a drying room when needed, taking into account the company's specific requirements. The challenge lay in finding a solution that would combine high heat recovery, automated operation, and flexible space utilization.

How we built it

We supplied Natural AS with a ventilation system featuring efficient heat recovery, which was designed to operate relatively automatically – the alternation between operating and non-operating modes occurs independently, without manual intervention. Since the client wanted, in addition to the painting mode, the option to dry wood materials, we supplied the machine with this in mind and added a separate drying mode function to the automation, which allows the room to be used flexibly for both painting and drying.

  • Ventilation system with heat recovery for the painting hall
  • Heat energy recovery efficiency over 80%
  • Automatic alternation between operating and non-operating modes
  • Separate drying mode function for drying wood materials

What we achieved

  • Heat energy recovery efficiency over 80%
  • A modern and economical ventilation system for the painting hall
  • Automated operation without daily manual intervention
  • Flexible space utilization – both painting and drying in one room
  • The client was extremely satisfied with the cooperation, highlighting the adherence to deadlines, prompt technical support, and professional consultation in finding the best solution in terms of price, efficiency, and space utilization

Compressor heat recovery in industry – energy savings of up to 800 kWh per day

At an industrial enterprise, we installed a heat recovery system on two compressors (55 kW and 37 kW) that directs the resulting waste heat to heating production processes. The solution was integrated into the existing heating system and significantly reduced the boiler's operating load. The result was energy savings of approximately 800 kWh per day and improved overall system energy efficiency.

Heat recovery ventilation for paint hall in Karksi

For the timber workshop's new production building, we designed and installed a ventilation system based on a plate heat exchanger with automatic pressure control. The system recovers thermal energy generated during the painting process, compensates for vacuum, and removes moisture originating from the autoclave. Thanks to this solution, the company can continue using its existing boiler without the heat load exceeding the boiler's capacity.

Factory Air Compensation and Heat Energy Recovery in the Woodworking Industry

We supplied a woodworking company with an ATEX-rated ventilation unit with an air volume of 24,000 m3/h, which serves the existing MAKOR oven and recovers thermal energy by means of a plate heat exchanger. The unit compensates the factory air and ensures a better indoor climate in production. As the oven operates in two modes, pressure control was added to manage both the oven operating mode and the internal production conditions.
