Heat Recovery Ventilation and Air Exchange System

For Lasita Maja's new Makor coating line, we implemented efficient heat recovery and factory air compensation. We installed two units with an air exchange rate of 25,000 m³/h, which, according to our calculations, required no heating section, and completed all overhead air ducting above the ovens. The system operates automatically and monitors the working process using pressure sensors, ensuring trouble-free operation of the line's equipment.

Heat Recovery Ventilation and Air Exchange System

Project challenge

The new Makor paint line required efficient air exchange and heat recovery, as well as air compensation for the factory to reduce the factory vacuum. The system had to follow the work process and ensure the trouble-free operation of the line's equipment.

How we built it

We installed two air exchange units and built all the overhead air ducts, connecting them to the ventilation equipment. The units feature both automatic and manual start-up, and the system follows the work process using pressure sensors to ensure the trouble-free operation of the line's equipment.

  • 2 air exchange units, each with 25,000 m³/h air exchange capacity
  • according to calculations, no heating section was required
  • all overhead air ducts built and connected to the ventilation equipment
  • automatic and manual start-up, work process monitoring via pressure sensors

What we achieved

  • ventilation with heat recovery and an efficient air exchange system
  • 2 × 25,000 m³/h air exchange capacity
  • reduction of the factory vacuum thanks to air compensation
  • stable and trouble-free operation of the paint line
  • no need for a heating section thanks to well-considered calculations

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is the air exchange capacity of the installed system?
We installed two air handling units, each with 25 000 m³/h, giving a total capacity of 2 × 25 000 m³/h.
Was a separate heating section needed for the system?
No, according to the calculations a heating section was not needed thanks to the well-considered solution.
How does the system follow the work process?
The system follows the work process using pressure sensors, and the units have both automatic and manual start.
How was the factory vacuum issue solved?
The factory vacuum was reduced through air compensation, ensuring stable and trouble-free operation of the paint line.
What did the project include?
We built all the above-oven air ducts and connected them to the ventilation units, providing heat recovery for the whole system and factory air compensation.

Compressor heat recovery in industry – energy savings of up to 800 kWh per day

At an industrial enterprise, we installed a heat recovery system on two compressors (55 kW and 37 kW) that directs the resulting waste heat to heating production processes. The solution was integrated into the existing heating system and significantly reduced the boiler's operating load. The result was energy savings of approximately 800 kWh per day and improved overall system energy efficiency.

Heat recovery ventilation for paint hall in Karksi

For the timber workshop's new production building, we designed and installed a ventilation system based on a plate heat exchanger with automatic pressure control. The system recovers thermal energy generated during the painting process, compensates for vacuum, and removes moisture originating from the autoclave. Thanks to this solution, the company can continue using its existing boiler without the heat load exceeding the boiler's capacity.

Factory Air Compensation and Heat Energy Recovery in the Woodworking Industry

We supplied a woodworking company with an ATEX-rated ventilation unit with an air volume of 24,000 m3/h, which serves the existing MAKOR oven and recovers thermal energy by means of a plate heat exchanger. The unit compensates the factory air and ensures a better indoor climate in production. As the oven operates in two modes, pressure control was added to manage both the oven operating mode and the internal production conditions.
