Automatic powder coating line
Elister OÜ installed a modern automatic powder coating line in Ampler Bikes' new production hall, significantly accelerating and streamlining the company's supply chain. The line features an approximately 300-metre motorised conveyor, an Aabo-Ideal 3-stage pre-wash tunnel and a gas-fired combi oven, as well as a Gema automatic powder coating system with 6 automatic and 2 manual paint guns. Ampler can now coat its bicycle components in-house in Estonia.
Project challenge
In early 2021, Ampler Bikes needed a solution for coating bicycle components in Estonia — a natural growth step that would allow the supply chain to be made considerably more efficient. The client did not know exactly what the technology's capabilities were, nor which solution would be precisely needed. Therefore, we began with several meetings to specify the technology, which culminated in testing at the Gema AG laboratory.
How we built it
In Ampler Bikes' separate production hall, we installed an automatic powder coating line with an approximately 300-metre motorised conveyor. The products are washed in an automatic washing tunnel from the Danish manufacturer Aabo-Ideal, dried and cured in a gas-heated combi oven, and coated with the top technology of the Swiss manufacturer Gema. Elister OÜ is the sole representative of these brands in Estonia and takes care of the maintenance, spare parts and training of the coating lines.

"Power&Free" conveyor fully automatic powder coating line
A modern powder coating line was designed and installed for Torm Metall OÜ, enabling the washing and coating of products with dimensions of 4500 x 1000 x 1800 mm. The solution included a chamber-based 7-stage washing line with separate cabins for ferrous metal and aluminium, a combi oven, and a fully automatic "Power&Free" conveyor system. In the combi oven, the residual temperature of the curing oven is utilised in the drying oven, which increases energy efficiency.
Investment in a New Automated Powder Coating Line
We designed and installed a fully automatic powder coating line for Tammer, complete with an Aabo-Ideal gas- and electric-heated curing oven and a Gema paint booth operating 16 automatic guns. The monorail conveyor has a load capacity of 100 kg per metre. In addition, we built out the compressed air and ventilation lines. The entire installation was completed in May 2023, having started already before Midsummer.
Powder Coating Automatic Line with Power&Free Conveyor
For Sami AS, for whom we built a two-chamber liquid painting line in 2020, we established an automatic powder coating line as part of a production expansion. The solution includes a Power&Free conveyor and a tunnel-type washing automatic line that enables production analysis and future expansion. The equipment is sourced from reliable manufacturers Gema AG, Aabo-Ideal and Hjort-Conveyor.
