Multi-component 2K dosing system for six colours and two hardeners
At AS Hekotek's paint shop, we installed a Graco ProMix 2KS multi-component dosing system with transfer pumps and mixers, supporting six paint colours and two hardeners and utilising 200-litre material containers. As space in the paint storage area was limited, we designed a second floor based on a metal structure, where three containers are located on the lower level and three on the upper level. The solution eliminated manual paint mixing, accelerated colour changeovers and keeps costs under control. The system is expandable up to 30 paint colours and 4 hardeners.

Project Challenge
Hekotek wanted to adopt 200-litre material containers and eliminate manual paint mixing. It was necessary to find a suitable solution to meet the requirements and a way to install the system in the existing paint building, where space was limited. In addition, operator training had to be provided.
How We Built It
We installed Graco's most capable multi-component paint system for the client, along with the required transfer pumps and mixers. Since the system is designed for six paint shades supplied in 200-litre drums, there was insufficient space in the paint storage — therefore we designed a second floor based on a metal structure, distributing the containers across two levels.
- Graco ProMix 2KS multi-component dosing system
- transfer pumps and mixers
- 200-litre material containers
- second floor based on a metal structure: 3 containers on the lower level and 3 containers on the upper level
What We Achieved
- the system supports 6 paint shades and 2 hardeners
- expandable up to 30 paint shades and 4 hardeners
- fast paint shade changeover — no more time spent on manual mixing of materials or system flushing
- costs are under control
- operators received training to use the system

Ventilation solution for a metal finishing room for a 70 m paint room
We designed a new painting area ventilation system for a metal structures manufacturing company in Harju County, in a 70 m long paint room. We installed 9 exhaust walls with filters across three work sections, along with a spark-proof fan with an air exchange rate of 15,000 m³/h. The operator can control all three sections independently using control automation based on pneumatic dampers.
New paint booth and energy-efficient drying room for the metal industry
We designed and built a completely new paint room ventilation solution for a metal industry client and upgraded the existing drying room. We used CIC Ex equipment and Konwektor fans suitable for explosive environments, and replaced the ventilation unit with a plate heat exchanger solution that improves heat recovery and reduces energy consumption. We added solvent sensors, compressed air meters, heat meters, and new automation with remote management capability. The result is a reliable, modern, and energy-efficient system that meets all applicable safety and working condition requirements.
Liquid Coating Line for the New Factory in Saue
We designed a complete liquid painting line for the new production building of the machine-building company Sami AS. The solution included two paint booths with water-heated heat exchangers, providing air exchange of 10,000 m³/h per booth, a washing booth with a Husqvarna pressure washer, and a motorized monorail conveyor with a load capacity of 16,000 kg. The line was complemented by control automation with solvent sensors, a 2K electronic mixing dosing unit, and two GRACO electrostatic spray guns.
