Ventilation solution for a metal finishing room for a 70 m paint room
We designed a new painting area ventilation system for a metal structures manufacturing company in Harju County, in a 70 m long paint room. We installed 9 exhaust walls with filters across three work sections, along with a spark-proof fan with an air exchange rate of 15,000 m³/h. The operator can control all three sections independently using control automation based on pneumatic dampers.

The project challenge
The client's production volumes had grown and the existing painting area was no longer sufficient. The new space required a capable exhaust ventilation system that would cover the entire 70 m long paint room and enable flexible work in different areas. In addition, the solution had to include exhaust walls, fans as well as control automation.
How we built it
We designed a complete paint room solution for the given space, dividing it into three separately controllable work sections. This gave the operator flexibility in using the ventilation — each section can be operated according to the actual work requirement. The control automation is based on pneumatic dampers and enables independent control of the three sections and safe start-up of the fan.
Installed equipment and solutions:
- 9 exhaust walls with filters, distributed across three work sections
- an exhaust fan with a spark-proof design and an air exchange of 15,000 m³/h
- control automation based on pneumatic dampers
What we achieved
- a complete painting area in a 70 m long paint room
- air exchange in the workshop with a 15,000 m³/h fan featuring a spark-proof design
- three independently controllable work sections for greater flexibility
- a safe and efficient painting environment that supports growing production volumes

New paint booth and energy-efficient drying room for the metal industry
We designed and built a completely new paint room ventilation solution for a metal industry client and upgraded the existing drying room. We used CIC Ex equipment and Konwektor fans suitable for explosive environments, and replaced the ventilation unit with a plate heat exchanger solution that improves heat recovery and reduces energy consumption. We added solvent sensors, compressed air meters, heat meters, and new automation with remote management capability. The result is a reliable, modern, and energy-efficient system that meets all applicable safety and working condition requirements.
Liquid Coating Line for the New Factory in Saue
We designed a complete liquid painting line for the new production building of the machine-building company Sami AS. The solution included two paint booths with water-heated heat exchangers, providing air exchange of 10,000 m³/h per booth, a washing booth with a Husqvarna pressure washer, and a motorized monorail conveyor with a load capacity of 16,000 kg. The line was complemented by control automation with solvent sensors, a 2K electronic mixing dosing unit, and two GRACO electrostatic spray guns.
Modern Ex-rated paint booths for the factory
After the fire, we established two entirely new Ex-rated painting and drying rooms at the Konesko Koeru factory – one for large products with an air exchange rate of 15000 m³/h and another for smaller products with an air exchange rate of 10000 m³/h. The rooms were equipped with Ex lighting, drying controlled by solvent sensors, and a Power&Free conveyor system. The work was carried out in two stages without interrupting daily production, restoring and enhancing the client's production capacity.
