Liquid Coating Line for the New Factory in Saue
We designed a complete liquid painting line for the new production building of the machine-building company Sami AS. The solution included two paint booths with water-heated heat exchangers, providing air exchange of 10,000 m³/h per booth, a washing booth with a Husqvarna pressure washer, and a motorized monorail conveyor with a load capacity of 16,000 kg. The line was complemented by control automation with solvent sensors, a 2K electronic mixing dosing unit, and two GRACO electrostatic spray guns.

Project Challenge
The client's increased production volumes required a fully equipped painting line for a new factory. The line had to fit within a given space and include several large-scale booths, a powerful conveyor and a separate paint storage room.
The initial specification called for:
- Two paint booths with dimensions of 10×6 m
- A washing booth with dimensions of 10×6 m
- A motorised monorail conveyor with a total load capacity of 16,000 kg
- A paint storage room for painting equipment and daily-use paints
How We Built the Solution
We designed a compact and complete painting line to fit within the given space in the new production building. The solution included both painting and washing booths, a conveyor, as well as a paint storage room and equipment room.
Key components of the solution:
- Two water-heated paint booths with heat exchangers, with air exchange of 10,000 m³/h per booth
- A washing booth with a Husqvarna pressure washer
- A motorised monorail conveyor with two operator control panels (controllable directly from the paint chamber)
- Flap doors at the ends of the paint room
- An equipment room and 7 paint storage rooms with a separate solvent sensor
- An electronic mixing dosator for 2K multi-component substances
- Two GRACO electrostatic spray guns powered by air turbines
- 24 ATEX zone 1 luminaires with sturdy housings and clear glass
Automation
The line was equipped with solvent sensors and control automation specifically designed for paint rooms. The operator can control the conveyor with two operator control panels, including directly from the paint chamber, which makes the workflow flexible and safe.
Result
The client received a complete and automated liquid painting line for the new factory, meeting its increased production needs. The solution combined two large paint booths, a washing booth and a conveyor with a 16,000 kg load capacity into a seamless production line.

Ventilation solution for a metal finishing room for a 70 m paint room
We designed a new painting area ventilation system for a metal structures manufacturing company in Harju County, in a 70 m long paint room. We installed 9 exhaust walls with filters across three work sections, along with a spark-proof fan with an air exchange rate of 15,000 m³/h. The operator can control all three sections independently using control automation based on pneumatic dampers.
New paint booth and energy-efficient drying room for the metal industry
We designed and built a completely new paint room ventilation solution for a metal industry client and upgraded the existing drying room. We used CIC Ex equipment and Konwektor fans suitable for explosive environments, and replaced the ventilation unit with a plate heat exchanger solution that improves heat recovery and reduces energy consumption. We added solvent sensors, compressed air meters, heat meters, and new automation with remote management capability. The result is a reliable, modern, and energy-efficient system that meets all applicable safety and working condition requirements.
Modern Ex-rated paint booths for the factory
After the fire, we established two entirely new Ex-rated painting and drying rooms at the Konesko Koeru factory – one for large products with an air exchange rate of 15000 m³/h and another for smaller products with an air exchange rate of 10000 m³/h. The rooms were equipped with Ex lighting, drying controlled by solvent sensors, and a Power&Free conveyor system. The work was carried out in two stages without interrupting daily production, restoring and enhancing the client's production capacity.
