Powder Coating Line Heat Recovery System
Elister installed a heat recovery system alongside Sami AS's new powder coating line, which reuses the heat from the hot air exiting the powder oven for heating. The heat is directed to maintaining the temperature of the metal washing bath, to the central heating system, and to the ventilation of the paint and assembly workshop, requiring no additional energy source. Hot-dip galvanizing exhaust air heat recovery and vacuum compensation
At Galv-Est AS's hot-dip galvanizing plant, the 45,000 m³/h of air extracted above the zinc bath created a strong vacuum and significant loss of thermal energy. We installed a ventilation unit with a plate heat exchanger featuring corrosion-resistant elements, which recovers heat from the galvanizing process and compensates for the vacuum. The solution enables efficient use of heat even at temperatures down to -25°C without additional heating.

For Scanfil's new Gema automatic paint booth, we implemented a two-stage heat recovery system together with a ventilation unit featuring cooling capability. The residual heat released from the oven, which previously went to waste, is now directed into the central heating system of the production facilities and also covers the energy requirements of the added system. According to the forecast, the investment will pay for itself in approximately five years.
