Centralized grinding dust extraction for multiple grinding workstations
Elister designed a centralized industrial dust extraction solution for sanding workstations in the woodworking industry, collecting sanding dust from all workstations into a single central filter unit. The solution is based on the GRAM HFU high-vacuum unit together with a central collection pipework and automation. The automation opens the valves according to the active workstations and switches off the filter when the last workstation is finished, resulting in a significant reduction in energy consumption.

The Project Challenge
With multiple sanding workstations, it is not reasonable to acquire a separate vacuum cleaner for each sander, as their motors require frequent replacement due to the heavy load and energy consumption increases significantly. The goal was to create an efficient centralized system that takes into account that not all operators sand simultaneously.
How We Built It
Elister designed a centralized industrial vacuum solution that collects sanding dust from all workstations into a single central filter unit. The system is based on a GRAM high-vacuum device together with a built-out collection ducting and user-based automation. The automation starts the filter when the first workstation is activated and automatically opens the valves of the respective work zone, ensuring optimal power usage according to the current demand. When the last workstation finishes work, the filter switches off automatically.

Extraction of fine dust from the chipper at the point of origin with a mobile hood
We designed and implemented a solution that removes the fine dust generated during the shredder's operating process directly at the point of origin. We utilized the client's existing aspiration filter, to which we built new ductwork and a movable hood above the machine. In addition, we installed a room extraction nozzle for cleaning tasks. As a result, the need for cleaning and maintenance was reduced and the room remains dust-free.
