Gas-catalytic infrared oven renovation on the paint line
A major overhaul was carried out on the heating elements of the post-priming infrared curing oven of Lappset Estonia's powder coating line, during which all infrared heating elements were replaced in cooperation with the manufacturer's representatives. The gas-catalytic infrared oven gels the powder coating before applying the topcoat, which enables two layers of paint to be applied consecutively and provides significant time savings, as products do not have to be passed through the curing oven twice.

The project challenge
The post-priming gas-catalytic infrared curing oven of the Lappset Estonia powder coating line required a major overhaul. The oven's infrared heating elements had worn out and needed a complete renewal to ensure the reliability of the coating process.
How we built it
The work was carried out in cooperation with the factory's representatives. A gas-catalytic infrared oven is a good solution when two coats of paint need to be applied consecutively – a primer and a top coat. The infrared oven gels the powder paint before it is covered with the top coat, and after being coated with the top coat, the products undergo final full curing in the curing oven.

What we achieved
The renewed infrared oven allows two coats of paint to be applied consecutively Significant time savings, as products do not need to be passed through the curing oven twice Restored reliability of the coating process with new heating elements

"Power&Free" conveyor fully automatic powder coating line
A modern powder coating line was designed and installed for Torm Metall OÜ, enabling the washing and coating of products with dimensions of 4500 x 1000 x 1800 mm. The solution included a chamber-based 7-stage washing line with separate cabins for ferrous metal and aluminium, a combi oven, and a fully automatic "Power&Free" conveyor system. In the combi oven, the residual temperature of the curing oven is utilised in the drying oven, which increases energy efficiency.
Investment in a New Automated Powder Coating Line
We designed and installed a fully automatic powder coating line for Tammer, complete with an Aabo-Ideal gas- and electric-heated curing oven and a Gema paint booth operating 16 automatic guns. The monorail conveyor has a load capacity of 100 kg per metre. In addition, we built out the compressed air and ventilation lines. The entire installation was completed in May 2023, having started already before Midsummer.
Powder Coating Automatic Line with Power&Free Conveyor
For Sami AS, for whom we built a two-chamber liquid painting line in 2020, we established an automatic powder coating line as part of a production expansion. The solution includes a Power&Free conveyor and a tunnel-type washing automatic line that enables production analysis and future expansion. The equipment is sourced from reliable manufacturers Gema AG, Aabo-Ideal and Hjort-Conveyor.
