Complete solution for the ventilation and humidification system of a veneering workshop
For the renovated veneering workshop, we established a comprehensive solution that combines woodworking machine extraction, ventilation of the gluing area's Ex-zone, spray technology, and room humidification. We installed a Nawara VACOMAX S1000 filter unit, finishing ventilation suitable for the Ex-zone with a water-heated plate heat exchanger in a 3 m wide cabin, as well as a two-zone UNIFOG humidification system. All systems operate in a coordinated manner, ensuring a stable and safe production environment and highly positive feedback from the client.

Project Challenge
There was a need to address several interrelated processes as a single system: dust and chip extraction from woodworking machines, gluing ventilation and spraying technology, and humidification of the production premises. The solutions had to be energy-efficient, safe for operation in an Ex zone and easy to maintain, ensuring stable working air quality and improved working conditions.
How We Built the Solution
For the extraction of woodworking machines, we used Formula Air ducting and dampers, and for dust filtration and extraction we installed a Nawara VACOMAX S1000 filter unit. For the gluing area, we designed and installed finishing ventilation suitable for the Ex zone with a water-heated plate heat exchanger, where work takes place in a 3-metre-wide cabin. For humidification of the premises, we supplied and installed a UNIFOG two-zone humidification system.
- Formula Air extraction ducting and dampers
- Nawara VACOMAX S1000 filter unit for dust extraction
- Finishing ventilation suitable for the Ex zone with a water-heated plate heat exchanger (3 m wide cabin)
- Luminaires compliant with Ex zone 2 requirements, 1000 lux light intensity, easy-to-clean glass covers
- GRACO Merkur 30:1 finishing pump with PerformAA finishing gun
- UNIFOG two-zone humidification system, 2.2 l/h spray nozzles on stainless steel piping
Automation and Remote Management
Air exchange and ventilation are controlled by specially developed finishing automation that monitors solvent and compressed air parameters, ensuring occupational safety and optimal air exchange. The two-zone humidification system helps maintain the humidity level required for veneering, which directly affects material quality and reliability.
Result
The veneering workshop received an efficient, modern and reliable system that supports both production quality and employee comfort. All systems – extraction, ventilation, spraying technology and humidification – operate in a coordinated manner, ensuring a stable production environment. Client feedback has been very positive, especially regarding the reliability and ease of use of the system.

Manual finishing booths with drying tunnel and pump cabinets
For a returning customer, we manufactured wider manual finishing booths with a drying tunnel as well as specialized pump cabinets for paint pumps, into which safety leak trays were integrated. The solution was designed as a 3D model according to the customer's requirements, and in addition to the booths and pump cabinets, we organized all partition walls, doors, and finishing technology. The result was a fast and seamless implementation and a satisfied customer who received exactly the solution they wanted.
Manual finishing department: two paint booths and a drying tunnel
We established a dedicated manual finishing department for a long-term client to produce custom orders. We installed two 3-metre-wide finishing booths, six finishing pumps, a drying tunnel, and in-house manufactured GRINO drying trolleys. To ensure worker safety, we added barriers and fast-opening doors that separate the finishing area from the rest of production. The new department operates flawlessly and successfully fulfils all custom orders.
Renovation of a Door Manufacturer's Finishing Workshop – MAKOR Automatic Line and Manual Finishing Booth
An automatic finishing solution, MAKOR SPRAY & DRY – M, was designed and installed for a Central Estonian door manufacturer, together with a manual finishing booth built by Elister. The heart of the finishing process consisted of GRACO PerformAA automatic paint guns with Merkur-series pumps, and the ventilation was interfaced directly with the Makor system, which detects the operating equipment and adjusts the working modes. The entire system was designed, installed and commissioned into working order precisely during the factory's collective holiday, resulting in an energy-efficient and safe finishing environment.
