Automation of the Painting Process with 2K Coating Equipment
We installed a Graco 2KS multi-component metering and mixing dispenser at Stera Technologies' production facility, supplied by Graco Merkur paint pumps from the paint kitchen. The solution reduces the time spent on color changeovers and auxiliary activities and automates the entire finishing process. The system enables the supply of paint materials in larger containers, thereby reducing the environmental footprint.
The Graco 2KS+3KS dosing system automates Arens AS production
For the kitchen furniture manufacturer Arens AS, we supplied and installed a Graco ProMix 2KS dosing system on their production line, which we expanded with a 3K module to maintain viscosity control. The solution was integrated with the automated finishing line and enables topcoat colour changes within the pump circuit while the line applies primer. The material containers were transferred to larger tanks (1000 l and 200 l) together with agitators, a lift and safety vessels, making production significantly more automated.
Automatic painting line with 2K+3K system for the woodworking industry
We built a complete painting line for an Estonian wood processor to transition from manual finishing to automated finishing. We installed two profile spray automats with a total of 16 Graco G40 automatic guns, two drying ovens operating in series, a paint kitchen with 11 Graco pumps, and a three-component Graco 3KS paint proportioner. The entire transition from the old system to the new one was carried out in just three weeks, and the line was brought into operation on the specified deadline.
Semi-automatic wet painting line for the new production building
We installed a liquid paint line for painting openings' fillers in Saku Metall's new production building, based on a semi-automatic conveyor system with a lifting section of up to 500 kg and 20 booms (spacing 350 mm). The water-heated ventilation units of the paint room and drying tunnel are heated by an autonomous gas boiler, and the entire line is controlled by a Siemens touchscreen control panel. Safety is ensured by solvent sensors, which automatically activate the ventilation, as well as Atex zone 1 luminaires. Two GRACO Merkur 48:1 high-pressure paint pumps were installed for painting.
Multi-component 2K dosing system for six colours and two hardeners
At AS Hekotek's paint shop, we installed a Graco ProMix 2KS multi-component dosing system with transfer pumps and mixers, supporting six paint colours and two hardeners and utilising 200-litre material containers. As space in the paint storage area was limited, we designed a second floor based on a metal structure, where three containers are located on the lower level and three on the upper level. The solution eliminated manual paint mixing, accelerated colour changeovers and keeps costs under control. The system is expandable up to 30 paint colours and 4 hardeners.
