Vaakum OÜ is a manufacturing company in Tallinn with 24 employees. The company started in 1992 with the production of shop fittings and light boxes. Today they produce a wide range of steel shop fittings, various types of merchandisers, trolleys and custom-made products.
Due to the move to a new production building, there was a need to upgrade the welding ventilation. Together with the client, we started discussing different options to ensure the most suitable and user-friendly solution.
The most appropriate solution was to use welding studs, as this method allows us to clean the air from pollution closest to the source.
We created a weld seam on five hand-welded boxes and three spot welds.
The control is demand-based, i.e. each manual welding box has a switch that opens the valve and signals the device to start working.
We used GRAM FL52/VE5500 filtering equipment so that we can recycle the purified air back into production and avoid energy losses.
The result was the most cost-effective welding ventilation possible.
