Whether to continue shot peening by hand or to buy a shot peening machine is a question that many a metalworker has found himself at some point.
What exactly is this wound machine?
The machine is equipped with turbines that eject abrasive onto the products at speeds of up to 70 m/sec. The turbines are designed to eject the abrasive from all sides at different angles, so that all surfaces, welds and also internal areas are adequately treated.
Different conveyor solutions can be used to transport products, such as roller conveyors or suspension conveyors.
After the process, brushes or a high-pressure vacuum cleaner are used to remove all dust and abrasive from the products. The air environment of the autoclave is cleaned by an afterfilter with cartridges, from which the cleaned air is returned to the production.
VAS are available in transportable and chamber-type, which take up less space. However, this is a technology that requires a customer-specific approach to ensure the right choice of equipment.
The use of automatic barrier systems is highly justified for even the smallest workloads.
Advantages of automatic barrier systems:
Suspension conveyor shot blasting machines are designed for cleaning workpieces of different shapes, sizes and weights hanging on hooks or suspension elements attached to the conveyor. The workpieces are suspended on conveyor hooks which move through the shot blasting chamber. The flow of the wound wheels cleans all sides of the workpieces as the workpieces slowly rotate in motion. The process is in a continuous cycle - new parts are loaded while clean parts are unloaded. The machine body is [...]
The tank-type shot blasting machine is designed for cleaning large and heavy workpieces that need to be cleaned individually or in small quantities. The machine is ideal for surface treatment of castings, forgings and structures. The workpieces are loaded onto the trolley from the loading bay and transported into the chamber. The trolley rotates during the forging process, ensuring uniform cleaning in all positions. The machine body is protected by wear-resistant manganese steel linings. High efficiency is [...]
The rotary table-type shot blast machine is designed for cleaning workpieces of different shapes and sizes, such as castings, forgings, stampings, steel or precious metal parts, and parts made of brittle materials. The workpieces are placed on a rotating table and cleaned by one or more shot blasting wheels. The rotary table ensures uniform surface coverage from all sides without the workpieces being rolled onto the table from the field. The rotary table shot blast machine is ideal for both series production and [...]
The rotary drum shot blasting machine is designed for cleaning small and medium-sized workpieces produced in small or medium batches. The workpieces to be machined - castings, forgings, heat-treated parts - are cleaned by means of a shot blasting wheel and mutual friction as the workpieces roll in the rotating drum. During emptying, the drum is tilted to a certain position and the objects fall into the box. The body of the machine is protected by wear-resistant manganese steel liners. High [...]
The rotary drum shot blast machine is suitable for cleaning smaller castings, forgings, heat treated parts and machine shop parts. The workpieces are loaded into the drum manually or by means of a loader. During the unloading process, the drum is tilted to a certain position and the objects fall into the box. The use of a loader achieves a partially automated cleaning process. The body of the machine is protected by wear-resistant manganese steel linings. The high efficiency of the drum shaker is ensured by a continuous abrasive handling and recycling system [...]
The through-feed mono-conveyer shot peening machine is designed for the processing of long, high and narrow, flat-free welded bodies weighing from 25 to 1000 kg. The workpieces are suspended, individually or in groups, from hooks on an overhead conveyor which passes through the shot peening machine.
Used for machining parts of different sizes, often containing fragile and delicate parts. Parts can weigh from 5 kg to 10 000 kg or more. The workpieces are suspended individually or as a set from rotating hooks on a closed conveyor which passes through the shot peening machine. The length of the conveyor line and the number of trolleys are adjusted according to the customer's needs. In the wound process, the workpieces move back and forth in a jet of abrasives that [...]
This GOSTOL shotcutting machine is designed for the machining of the external surfaces of pipes/tubes, round profiles, gas cylinders and other cylindrical elements. The welding process allows easier and faster cutting and welding of steel semi-finished products with a clean surface. Welding prior to surface finishing multiplies the increase in surface resistance to corrosion. The workpieces pass through the shot peening machine on a conical cylindrical or inclined roller conveyor. This type of conveyor ensures simultaneous [...]
The roller conveyor shot blast machine is built to clean large parts such as steel plates, profiles, I- and H-beams and simple structures. This type of shot blasting machine is most commonly used for descaling, rust removal, paint stripping, paint preparation, and general surface preparation prior to welding, cutting, machining and flame cutting operations.
