Similar to the previous Konesko Põltsamaa welding ventilation, this time the task was more complex than average. Ventilation was required in three welding booths located in the middle of the production building, given the fact that in each booth it was necessary to maintain crane movement within the workbench.

Similar to the previous Konesko Põltsamaa welding ventilation, this time the task was more complex than average. Ventilation was required in three welding booths located in the middle of the production building, given the fact that in each booth it was necessary to maintain crane movement within the workbench.
Therefore, a conventional solution was not possible and something had to be thought up individually to meet the client's needs.

We made each welding box into a self-contained "Push-Pull" a solution using a single common welding filter. Given that this was not a robotic welding operation, we added the following to control the operation of each welding box. "Smart" plugs that start the ventilation in the working area of a particular box when welding is in progress and stop when all the fumes generated have been exhausted.

By optimising in this way, you can be sure:

  • no heat loss, as all the purified air is recycled back to the
  • the system does not run throughout the working day as it starts and stops automatically.
  • the welding filter does not operate at full power when not needed.
  • the system can be extended

For this project we used the Danish manufacturer Gram Clean Air FL series welded filter, one of the most common filters today in terms of different solutions, and perfectly suited for this project.
