What are the two problems that arise if there is no spray dryer installed?
If a spraying machine is purchased for a production facility with a finishing capacity many times greater than manual finishing, and a drying oven cannot be used downstream of the spraying machine, either because of lack of space or for other reasons, then account must be taken of the fact that products in the drying stage spread solvent acids very strongly during their drying process.
There are two big concerns with this:
At the end of last year, our good customer Woodman purchased a spraying machine and due to lack of space, it was not possible to add a drying oven. At the time, we installed heat recovery ventilation for the system. But now we have helped to overcome the problem we have just described.
In September 2020, we installed a Solvent Vapour Flash-Off ventilation area, where solvent vapours generated during the initial drying of products are exhausted by evaporation, ensuring safe air quality in production. The extracted air is compensated by a previously installed ventilation unit with heat adjustment.
