AS SAMI is an Estonian engineering company whose main product lines are road maintenance, forestry and agricultural machinery. The company exports most of its products to the Nordic countries and its main markets are Norway, Sweden, Finland and several other European countries.

Due to an increase in its production capacity, the client needed a paint line for its new factory, which was to include:

Two 10×6 m colour booths
Washing cubicle with dimensions 10×6 m
Motorised monoconveyor with a total capacity of 16 000 kg
A paint store for paint equipment and everyday paints

SOLUTION

We designed a colour line for a new production building in a given space, which could be characterised by the following properties:

Two water-heated, heat-exchanging paint booths with an air exchange rate of 10 000 m3/h per booth.
Washing cabin with Husqwarna pressure washer
Control automation with solvent sensors and specially designed for colour rooms
Motorised monoconveyor with two operator controls. The operator can control the conveyor directly from the paint chamber.
24 ATEX zone 1 luminaires with robust housing and clear glass
Hinged doors at the ends of the colour room
Equipment room 7 colour shutter with separate solvent sensor
2K Multicomponent electronic mixing dosing unit
Two air turbine powered GRACO electrostatic guns
