In the spring of 2022, we had another interesting challenge, where the Elister OÜ team was tasked with supplying and installing a new Gema automatic powder coating system. What made the whole project so challenging was the fact that the old and outdated painting system had to be taken down and a new one installed in cramped conditions - and it all had to be done in just 10 days! As we have been involved in this type of work before with challenges, we believed we could do it - all we needed was proper planning. But we DID IT!

Normally, we only estimate the installation time for such a project at about 2.5 weeks!

In addition to the Gema system, we also designed and supplied operator platforms and installed new compressed air ducts. The installation of the technology needed to recover all the thermal energy generated by the line and to improve the indoor climate of the production is also already underway.

In summary, we installed a Gema automatic painting system with 8 automatic guns in Scanfil Pärnu production plant. OptiGun GA03 with the best powder centre OptiCenter OC08, cyclone and afterfilter. The guns are supplied with powder already with the well-known AP01 pumps and the resulting residues will go to the new PP07 transfer pump via BIGBAG powder bag, which can hold about 400 kg.

Scanfil is also the first company in Estonia to use fresh water in its line. GemaConnect a web-based application for line monitoring and analysis, which provides insight into the different processes and efficiency of the line and allows analytics to achieve maximum productivity.
