It is well known that as winter sets in, businesses are also planning new irrigation systems and upgrading existing ones.

In addition to several other systems we have already installed, we were also commissioned to upgrade the irrigation system at Palmako's Kavastu factory in autumn 2019.

An irrigation system was already installed in its own goodness, but this system had some special technical features that we don't usually put in.

Because of the importance for the customer to maintain accurate humidity levels, but also the occasional risk of low feed water pressure, the control was equipped with an automatic start-up function that attempts to start up to five times in a 24-hour period when the system has stopped due to an alarm, ensuring a continuous humidity level in the production building. However, if the system goes into alarm for the sixth time, it will require staff intervention - in which case water pressure is unlikely to be an issue.

On the subject of water, this kit also has an iron filter in addition to the water softening filter, to further reduce technical problems that can arise from water quality.

For the whole design of this project, the specificity of the plant technology and the active air exchange in one corner of the plant necessitated the construction of a two-stage irrigation zone. If the first stage fails to maintain humidity levels, the control automation switches on the second system - ensuring that the air is not over-saturated with water.
