OUF seeria vedeliku separaator - Elister

OUF series liquid separator

The OUF series liquid separator is designed to be mounted directly on the processing machine to separate spray cooling oil, cutting emulsion and oil mist generated during the production process before air enters the filter line. The efficient pre-separation in a small, compact housing is suitable for individual machines as well as for central aspiration systems.

The OUF works as a mechanical inertial separator: a high velocity air flow is directed in a rotating motion, causing the heavier liquid particles to be separated by centrifugal force on the walls and flow down the collection canister. The cleaned air is passed on to a fine filter - usually an OUK series multi-stage liquid separator - where the emission requirements are met.

The combination of OUF + OUK forms an effective two-tier cleaning system: the OUF takes care of the rapid removal of larger splashes, while the OUK provides fine cleaning up to filter level F9. This solution significantly prolongs the life of the fine filter and reduces the maintenance costs of the collection vessel.

The OUF series is available in several sizes according to the capacity and can be installed with either right or left hand feed. The collected liquid is periodically discharged through the drain cock and the unit itself does not require regular filter changes.

Areas of use

  • CNC machining centres and lathes with cooling emulsion
  • Milling, boring and drilling machines with cutting oil
  • Gear processing (hobbing, grinding)
  • Minimum quantification (MKM/MQL) processes
  • Pre-filter before the OUK multistage liquid separator

Benefits

  • Compact installation directly on the machine - no separate stand required
  • Significantly prolongs the life of the fine filter (OUK)
  • Adjustable advance (right/left)
  • Easy emptying - open emptying screen, no tools required
  • Suitable for central aspiration systems

  • The air temperature to be treated, max. +35°C, is conducted through tangential inlet openings that contribute to the tube's action.
  • The air is filtered through a washable porous filter.
  • The liquid collects at the bottom of the OUF from where it can be drained back into the machine or discharged through a tap. The liquid bath is secured with a bayonet fitting.
  • The filtered air is discharged through exhaust connections connected to the upper end of the ductwork and can be directed to the normal ventilation.

EASY CONNECTION AND OPERATION

The OUF is easy to mount on the wall using two fixing points and to connect to the pipework via inlet and outlet connections. Separated liquid can either be allowed to flow back into the machine or can be removed via a tap into a liquid bath. The filter is replaced (or washed) at suitable intervals.

THE ADVANTAGES OF SEPARATING SPRAYED OIL FROM THE MACHINE

  • Reduced hazardous effects on skin and respiratory system
  • Reduce the risk of slippery floors (when liquid drips from pipes) and related accidents.
  • Risk of fire, as well as damage to electronics by oil aerosols is minimised.
  • Reduced cleaning and maintenance costs by avoiding oil build-up in pipes and on surfaces.
  • Energy consumption is reduced (the air flow rate in the ventilation ducts is reduced if it does not contain heavy oil particles that need to be kept in the air and the sprayed oil does not accumulate on the light sources.
