Wake-up walls - an effective wake-up to sanding and curling

An air extraction wall is a vertical filtration device that is installed behind or to the side of a workstation and draws in dust, particles and aerosols during sanding, grinding or polishing. It is the ideal complement to a welding bench or as a stand-alone solution in production areas where a lot of dry dust is generated. Gram Clean Air exhaust walls are widely used in the metalworking, honeycomb and car repair industries.

Types of Gram Clean Air Exhaust Walls

  • GCA compact walls with one workstation: Table top wall for grinding and sanding. Workflow: worker - part - wall. Airflow 1000-2000 m³/h.
  • GCA larger walls for workshop: Walls designed to cover a larger surface area, capable of serving several workstations at the same time. Modular design allows for expansion.
  • GCA walls with waste collection system: Walls that collect dust directly into a collection bag or container - easier cleaning and less maintenance.
  • GCA walls for mixed use: Suitable for collecting both dry dust (grinding) and fine dust (welding fumes) using appropriate filter solutions.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between a wake-up call on the wall and on the door?

A grinding wall is a fixed device that covers a wider area - well suited for grinding and sanding where the worker moves along the surface. The arm is more mobile and is better suited to spot welding where a more precise pick-up is required.

Is the rebate wall suitable for sanding wood?

Yes, Gram Clean Air walls are suitable for sanding wood, but the specific dust characteristics of wood must be taken into account when choosing a filter. Wood dust is flame retardant, so it is necessary to use suitable anti-static filters and to take into account explosion protection requirements.

How to install a lift-off wall at the workplace?

The exhaust wall shall be connected either to an existing central dust collection system or to a separate filter unit. The wall shall be installed along the wall, behind the desk, with the worker positioned between the wall and the part. The installation normally requires only an electrical connection.

When do you need a lift-off wall with a pawl?

The combined solution is recommended for production sites where one worker does both welding and grinding. The hood covers the welding fumes and the wall draws in the grinding dust - for maximum protection of the working environment.
