Cyclic corrosion test chambers (CCT) or C&W Cyclic Corrosion Cabinet are industrial test facilities designed to provide accurate and repeatable environmental test conditions. They are indispensable for assessing the corrosion resistance of materials, coatings and components in the automotive, electronics, paint, aerospace, military and offshore industries.
Unlike a conventional salt spray test, the CCT chamber allows automatic switching between different test conditions - salt spray, high humidity, dry heat and drying cycles - giving a more realistic simulation of real operating conditions.
C&W CCT chambers are made of corrosion-resistant materials. The reinforced polyester glass lid (Apex series) is resistant to chemicals and temperature fluctuations. Ergonomic control panel and composite covers with gas springs ensure comfortable daily use. The entire construction is corrosion resistant.

The microprocessor controller can hold up to 7 Programme unlimited event log. The brine flow rate is controlled by a variable speed peristaltic pump and flow meter - accurate collection rates, zero nozzle clogging. A digital display allows you to adjust the water temperature and monitor the test in real time.

What is a cyclic corrosion test (CCT)?
The cyclic corrosion test is a test method that simulates real environmental conditions alternately: salt spray, high humidity, dry heat and ambient temperature. In contrast to a conventional salt spray test, the CCT provides a more realistic picture of the corrosion behaviour of a material in actual service.
Which standards do CCT chambers comply with?
The instruments comply with international standards ASTM B117, ISO 9227, as well as Prohesion® and CASS test methods. The user can combine different cycles in any order using the program logic controller.
How does a CCT cabinet differ from a normal salt spray cabinet?
A standard salt spray cabinet provides one constant test condition. The CCT cabinet allows automatic switching between modes: salt spray, 98% RH, dry heat up to 70 °C and forced drying - giving a more accurate simulation of real conditions.

Up to 7 programs can be stored in the microprocessor controller, with unlimited event records. Each program can contain different test conditions and durations in any order.
