Whether to continue shot peening by hand or to buy a shot peening machine is a question that many a metalworker has found himself at some point.
What exactly is this wound machine?
The machine is equipped with turbines that eject abrasive onto the products at speeds of up to 70 m/sec. The turbines are designed to eject the abrasive from all sides at different angles, so that all surfaces, welds and also internal areas are adequately treated.
Different conveyor solutions can be used to transport products, such as roller conveyors or suspension conveyors.
After the process, brushes or a high-pressure vacuum cleaner are used to remove all dust and abrasive from the products. The air environment of the autoclave is cleaned by an afterfilter with cartridges, from which the cleaned air is returned to the production.
VAS are available in transportable and chamber-type, which take up less space. However, this is a technology that requires a customer-specific approach to ensure the right choice of equipment.
The use of automatic barrier systems is highly justified for even the smallest workloads.
Advantages of automatic barrier systems:
The through-feed mono-conveyer shot peening machine is designed for the processing of long, high and narrow, flat-free welded bodies weighing from 25 to 1000 kg. The workpieces are suspended, individually or in groups, from hooks on an overhead conveyor which passes through the shot peening machine.
Used for machining parts of different sizes, often containing fragile and delicate parts. Parts can weigh from 5 kg to 10 000 kg or more. The workpieces are suspended individually or as a set from rotating hooks on a closed conveyor which passes through the shot peening machine. The length of the conveyor line and the number of trolleys are adjusted according to the customer's needs. In the wound process, the workpieces move back and forth in a jet of abrasives that [...]
This GOSTOL shotcutting machine is designed for the machining of the external surfaces of pipes/tubes, round profiles, gas cylinders and other cylindrical elements. The welding process allows easier and faster cutting and welding of steel semi-finished products with a clean surface. Welding prior to surface finishing multiplies the increase in surface resistance to corrosion. The workpieces pass through the shot peening machine on a conical cylindrical or inclined roller conveyor. This type of conveyor ensures simultaneous [...]
The roller conveyor shot blast machine is built to clean large parts such as steel plates, profiles, I- and H-beams and simple structures. This type of shot blasting machine is most commonly used for descaling, rust removal, paint stripping, paint preparation, and general surface preparation prior to welding, cutting, machining and flame cutting operations.
The wire mesh conveyor shot blast machine is mostly used for the processing of medium and large sized die castings, forged parts, heat treated parts, automotive parts, iron and non-ferrous castings, welded structures and finished products. Parts can weigh from 1 kg to 100 kg. The KTP is extremely versatile and is built for the removal of foundry sand residues, rust, old paint, visible welding and forging marks, oxidised coatings caused by thermal treatment, micro-treatment, surface [...] [...]
The drum-type shot blast machine is ideal for cleaning both mass-produced parts and delicate, large and demanding geometries. The weight of the workpieces can vary from a few grams up to 50 kilograms. Unlike conventional batch tumbling belt machines, there are no large height drops that could damage workpieces. The blanks move forward slowly and rotate simultaneously. Thanks to the advanced conveyor system, the transport of workpieces is precise and [...]
The drum machine with rubber belt is ideal for mass-produced parts. GG-type dispensers are available in different sizes, capable of accepting up to 1000 kg (500 l capacity) single fill/load. If you wish to automate the process, parts can be loaded into the machine using a hydraulic loader, made to the customer's specific requirements. During unloading, the parts are dropped onto a vibrating or unloading conveyor belt and transported to the next [...]
The manganese steel tape tumbling machine is ideal for mass-produced parts that can be tumbled and perfectly meets your requirements for casting and mould cleaning. Manganese steel strip tumbling machines are most commonly used for the processing of ferrous and non-ferrous castings, forgings, weldments and heat-treated parts and can be integrated into a fully automatic process by adding loading and unloading equipment. G-type automatic shot peening machines are sized to [...]
